We now have a dedicated flying area for helicopters
Helis and fixed wing aircraft usually don't do well in the same air space so we've created one especially for the heli boys. Here it is. Play nice everybody:)

There's no place like dome
There are some club members who just can't get enough flying. Flying outside now in December is not an option so every Saturday night there's a group of guys that get together and fly at the Currie Park Golf Dome located on Hwy. 100, just south of Capitol Drive. We fly from 10:15 to 1 am. It's really not that tough staying up and leaving a warm house at 9:30. Watch the video. We have fun. No slimers allowed.

Election 2008
Congratulations to Paul Hohensee and and Bbob Lirette who were elected president and vice president at the elections held in November. In one of the closest elections in years, Paul defeated Chril Milbauer while Bob received more votes than Pete Milewski.

Chasing Beach Balls
For those of you who don't make it to the field on Monday nights during the warm weather months, you don't know what you're missing. After the students are all packed up, a group of us blow up some beach balls and chase them around the field with our Zagis. It is a hoot and most of the time lots more action than in this video. Enjoy, Paul.

Night flight with the ParkZone T-28 Trojan.
I love flying the T-28 but in Wisconsin here in September, we're running out of daylight fast. Here's a flight I took and my 9-year old daughter is taking the video. Enjoy, Paul.

Michigan Slope Soaring/Float Fly Trip

wideshot
Every year, the weekend after Labor Day, I make a trip to Michigan with three of my friends from Green Bay. We go to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and fly planes off the slopes. Mostly gliders but also our Zagis. This year I even took my Multiplex Twister.

We fly on Thursday and then on Friday morning before heading to Brighton, near Detroit for the Midwest Regional Float Fly at Island Lakes State Park. This year there were 85 pilots and lots of flying. I have two videos, one from the slope soaring which we love to play full contact combat.

The Float Fly was rough on our planes. Two of our Northstars went down. Watch the Northstar video toward the end as the white and blue one gets mid-aired. Enjoy. Paul Daniel, Web master.

I was John Van Osch's instructor and we used to battle with our profile planes!  After John graduated from college he worked a couple of years with full motion flight simulators for CAE in Tampa Florida.  He then took a job with Boeing as a Flight Test Engineer for F/A-18's and is currently living in Southeastern Maryland next to Patuxent River Naval Air Station.  He recently got back from an Aircraft Carrier trip for F/A-18-G(Growler) testing.  It was a blast and here is a link to John's pictures. Enjoy. Paul Daniel, Web master.

Blue skies and a great day for our Annual Charity Fun Fly held on August 10th. There were 45 pilots registered. Here are some pictures from the event. Enjoy.

Every thursday night during the summer months, a group of guys get together for combat. Go here to see this wackyness.

Another windy day for our scale event held on July 13th kept a lot of the planes down. Enjoy!

These are pictures from the Electric Fun Fly on Sunday, June 29th.
There were 31 registered pilots. The day started out nice then the winds came up and the air was really lumpy. Enjoy.

On the weekend of May 31st and June 1st, we held our annual Bud Weber Pattern Classic. We had 18 registered pilots with SEVEN Electrons!! Marv Ingerson Jr., Paul Hohensee, John Kreitzer, Randy Jans, Tom Kunath, Joe Burzinski and Mike Dorna all flying in the event.

Winds in the 15 to 20 MPH range with gusts getting close to 30 kept most other members from giving Club Class a try. At least that's what I hope. That was Saturday - Sunday was picture perfect in every way. All classes except Sportsman flew only 2 rounds on Saturday due to the high winds and the forecast for light winds on Sunday. So Randy Jans and John Krietzer were thrown to the wolves so to speak, the wolf being a 25 mph wind out of the west!

After 11 years being the CD of this event I've decided to hand the show over to Joe Burzinski who has been my Co-CD for several years. Joe has some great ideas to fire people up about the contest and I'll be there to help out anyway I can. Tom Kunath is being recruted by Joe to be his Co-CD. I hope the Electrons give these guys the support that you've given me the past 11 years.

Special thanks to Tim and Hannah Roliff who cooked and served food. Chris Milbauer who picked up and delivered all the food stuff plus prepped, cleaned and did all the odd "kitchen" jobs. Chris has a "side-kick" - Pete Milewski, that seemed pretty indespensable.

Tim Becker for keeping score with the help of Steve Maurice. Ron Jans for the beautiful field work. And big extra special thanks to Joe Burzinski, my Co-CD for support, ideas and enthusiasim. You'll do just fine Joe. If I've forgotten anyone at all I apologize, I'm pretty sure I covered all.
